FOUNDERS STORY

FOUNDERS STORY

In 2012, DINADI co-Founders Preston (from Canada) and Mirjam (from Sweden) moved to Nepal with their three children. Deeply impacted by the effects of poverty they saw and inspired by the resilience of the Nepali people, they began exploring ways to create meaningful change. With a common vision for social transformation, they brought together their love for business, people, and knitting to form DINADI.

On April 11, 2016, DINADI was founded with a simple belief: that job creation and social entrepreneurship—not handouts—bring lasting change to developing communities. While much has changed since then, our mission remains the same: to provide dignified employment to Nepali women affected by poverty and gender discrimination.
