CASHMERE FIBRE
Cashmere is one of the most exclusive and luxurious fibres available. It is renown as one of the softest fibres on the planet and its combination of softness and light weight create a fibre that is both beautiful and functional.
Cashmere fibres come from the cashmere goat. Beneath the coarse hair of the cashmere goat lies an undercoat of superfine fibres that are combed out by hand once a year before being processed into yarn. Our cashmere originates from goats in the Gobi Desert of mongolia.

KNOW YOUR KNITTER
We believe that an essential part of supply chain transparency is knowing who has made the clothes you wear. Owning our own production facility in Kathmandu, Nepal allows DINADI to provide an unprecedented degree of openness and transparency.
Every hand-knitted product made at DINADI includes the name of the maker on the product label and the maker’s picture on the paper hangtag.
Every machine knitted product includes the name and picture of a team member involved in the production of the product on the paper hangtag.
We believe the makers of our garments deserve to be celebrated which is why we’re proud to introduce you to all the amazing people who work for DINADI.

FOUNDERS STORY
In 2012, DINADI co-Founders Preston (from Canada) and Mirjam (from Sweden) moved to Nepal with their three children. Deeply impacted by the effects of poverty they saw and inspired by the resilience of the Nepali people, they began exploring ways to create meaningful change. With a common vision for social transformation, they brought together their love for business, people, and knitting to form DINADI.
On April 11, 2016, DINADI was founded with a simple belief: that job creation and social entrepreneurship—not handouts—bring lasting change to developing communities. While much has changed since then, our mission remains the same: to provide dignified employment to Nepali women affected by poverty and gender discrimination.
